Photo Shoot Event

The Oshkosh Photography Group has organized a collaborative photo shoot event, with models, for Sunday, April 22nd.

Time: Noon - 4:00 pm (doors open at 11:30) - We would like to have a brief model / photographer "Meet & Greet" prior to the start of the event; please plan on arriving early.

Location: The Electric Lounge, formerly the Eagles Club, 405 Washington Avenue, Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Cost: Due to the considerable costs involved in making an event like this possible, the participation fee for photographers is as follows:

  • $20 for current OPG members *
  • $30 for non-members
  • $36 for non-members who become members at the event
  • * current OPG members who do not want to photograph the models may attend for half-price ($10)

RSVP: Please contact Lee Fenendael (trueheart7a3@gmail.com) if you would like to sign up for this event.

Photo CDs: All photographers who shoot with any of the models will be expected to provide a photo CD (or other access to digital images) to the models involved.  All photographers will receive a copy of the model releases for each model (these will be sent out by email within a week of the event).

This is a group shoot which calls for patience and courtesy on everyone's part.  Communication, common sense and respect will go a long way in making this event a success.  Scenes or poses that a photographer sets up are usually quite open to all just by virtue of this type of event, but it's always a good idea to ask the photographer -or the model- who set up the scene if it's OK to shoot it.

If you plan on attending this event, you can help make Lee's life a little easier by paying the event fee in advance at the March or April meeting, otherwise you may pay the day of the event.

Models: The following models have agreed to participate in the April event:

About the location: It is a bar and ballroom complex built in 1928. It has a second story ballroom with a stage and balconies overlooking the dance floor running on both sides. There is a party area called the Gala Room, 3 bar areas, a bowling alley in the basement, and many nooks and hallways.

Theme for the shoot: a general theme of the 1920s - 1930s - 1940s era has been suggested, but is only that - a suggestion.

Hair / makeup / styling: this will be the responsibility of the models.  There is a chance that a MUA may attend the event, but for now, go with the assumption that there will not be one.
